LIVE Virtual Carmelite Day of Prayer: From Darkness Into Light | August 8, 2020

Saturday, August 8, 2020 | 8:00 am to 5:30 pm
The Carmelite Sisters at Sacred Heart Retreat House proudly announce our first Livestream day conference, featuring two conferences given by the Carmelite Sisters on how our Carmelite Saints were able to use the severe trials of imprisonment and social turmoil as a means to gain greater interior freedom, peace, and happiness amidst their sufferings. These two livestream talks will offer insight on our current pandemic crisis and how God is in the midst of our sufferings despite the unrest and uncertainty. A question and answer session will follow each conference. This day will also include livestream morning prayers (lauds), a livestream holy rosary, and a led meditation on Sunday’s Gospel reading. This event is complimentary, and donations are gratefully accepted.

Register through the form by Friday, August 7, 2020, 12:00 Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) and you will receive an email with the link to the livestream platform on the same day by 2:00 pm PDT. A pdf download for morning prayers will be provided. This event will be simulcasted on Facebook and the Sacred Heart Retreat House website, no additional password is needed to gain access. A computer with video capability, a strong internet connection and speakers are required. Videos will be accessible on our website after the event for all participants, especially for those participating from other time zones
