Women’s Spiritual Exercises Retreat: Experiencing God’s Transformational Love

Hosted by the Legionaries of Christ and the Sacred Heart Retreat House, this 3-day silent retreat for women focuses on the Gospels and the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius of Loyola, opening the soul to the transforming power of grace. There are conferences led by Retreat Master Father John Hopkins, LC, as well as adoration, private reflection, Mass, and opportunities for confession and spiritual direction.

This retreat begins at 4pm on Friday evening and concludes at 4pm on Sunday.

Fr. John Hopkins, L.C.

Retreat Master Fr. John Hopkins, L.C. was ordained in 1991 by Pope John Paul II. He served for 18 years in Washington, DC, and helped found Our Lady of Bethesda Retreat Center and the Center for Family Development, as well as the Alpha-Omega Clinic, a Catholic mental health center. He is also president emeritus of Divine Mercy University (DMU), which integrates the best of modern psychology with Catholic faith.

Sacred Heart Retreat Heart will be adjusting prices on weekend retreats beginning January of 2024. Due to a high demand of private rooms, we have responded by providing more rooms with either a queen or twin bed option. We have also reduced prices for our double rooms for those who may appreciate sharing a room at a more reduced cost. We are aware of a general increase in the cost of living and have tried to find the balance between being sensitive to the financial needs of others, while striving to maintain the vitality of our mission to continue bringing you closer to the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
