Gentle Reminders

  • Give yourself a solid 45-60 minutes of undistracted time.
  • Listen in a room set apart from others, not where there is a television or computer screen on.
  • Have a journal you can write with and write down the points that speak to your heart along with any questions you would like to bring to the live Zoom Q&A sessions.
  • After the conference, we invite you to ponder any key points that struck you and take some silent prayer time to let the Lord speak to you about these points.

Conference 3 | The Eucharist: A Special and Mysterious Encounter

Reflection Questions
1. When was my first encounter with the Eucharist that I can truly remember? Do I really believe that Jesus is totally and completely present: body, blood, soul, and divinity? If yes, then how does this impact my life? If not, then what is lacking in my belief?

2. Fr. Jacques Philippe shares a touching reflection on an ill child and how the one thing that will reassure this child, is the child’s parents. He asks “when we are going through difficult moments our existence. What is the thing that is going to reassure us?” Will I really be at peace if I know every thorough explanation? If I know everything? What in my life will change if I know all the answers?

3. What is more important to me? God’s presence or the answers to all my questions?

4. God’s greatest gift is the gift of Himself in the Eucharist. Do I approach the Eucharist with reverence? Do I acknowledge His presence when I enter a Catholic Church? Do I thank Him for the Most Blessed Sacrament when I receive Him in communion or spiritual communion? Do I ignore Him when passing the altar? Do I tire of Him when I see Him on a Livestream Mass or Eucharistic Adoration? How can I love Him more through my actions, words, and disposition of heart when approaching Him?
5. How is God visiting me in my poverty? In my weakness? Am I hiding my weaknesses or shortcomings? Is this preventing me from living in God’s presence? How can I share in Christ’s poverty and invite Him into mine?
